Recent Federal Court Update - June 12, 2026
On June 11, 2026, a federal court ruling vacated the USCIS policy that froze naturalization and other immigration applications for citizens of 39 countries. However, USCIS has reported they disagree with the court’s order and expect further judicial review.
Until the full judicial review is complete, OPA will continue its pause on new loan applications from individuals from these 39 countries (listed below) while the federal landscape stabilizes.
Please Note: The immigration landscape remains fluid. As soon as any change becomes more permanent, or if there are further developments in the case, we will update this page.

On December 2, 2025, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced a temporary pause affecting Green Card and naturalization applications for individuals from specific countries. If you were born in, are a citizen of, or hold a passport from one of these countries, your USCIS application may not be processed at this time.
Due to this USCIS policy, and to prevent OPA loan applicants from taking on a loan for a USICS application that may not be processed, we will not be accepting OPA loan applications from individuals from these countries for their USCIS Citizenship application at this time.
