One Percent for America (OPA) is excited to continue our partnership with Welcoming America and return to Welcoming Interactive 2025!

OPA is a nonprofit organization that reduces financial barriers to U.S. citizenship for immigrants while advancing prosperity for all of us. OPA’s innovative model provides 1% interest loans to cover citizenship application fees.

At OPA, we envision a future where every immigrant achieves their American dream. By championing access to citizenship, OPA unlocks opportunities, supports economic growth, and fosters stronger communities. Since launching in 2022, OPA has helped thousands of immigrants afford their citizenship application fees.  

What makes our approach unique? Every borrower becomes part of a growing community that pays it forward. Once a loan is repaid, those funds are reinvested into new loans, creating a cycle where each borrower helps the next.  

Please note: We’re currently making operational enhancements to better serve our borrowers. Lending is temporarily paused and is expected to reopen by the end of 2025. Completing the form is the best way to stay informed about our progress and reopening.
